The interactive master class workshop is based around the “seven steps to success” detailed in the Career Transition Pocketbook and the companion CD ROM.
“Seven Steps to Success” Workshop
The interactive master class workshop is based around the “seven steps to success” detailed in the Career Transition Pocketbook and the companion CD ROM. To gain the maximum benefit the workshop is limited to 6 delegates only. Wherever possible the workshop is run in an IT training suite where each delegate uses a broadband connected PC for fast and easy access to the internet. The CD ROM has numerous links to guide the participants through the career transition process. At the end of this fun two-day workshop all participants will:- Know what transferable skills they have to offer in an ever changing world.
- Be able to make informed choices about future roles or career
- Produce (on disk) an up to date job-winning CV and write attention getting letters of application.
- Appreciate how to network and use all their contacts to help them through change.
- Understand how to P.R.E.P successfully for all types of interviews.
- Work out how to negotiate and ask for the best salary and benefits offer.

- The do’s and don’ts of CV writing
- Different types of CV’s – chronological, functional, combination and achievement based
- The importance of keywords to ensure your CV is picked up easily by scanning software on Monster and other internet job search sites
- How to emphasise your qualifications ,skills and achievements
- The importance of sending well-written cover letters
- What sort of letter you should send to keep you ahead of the competition and ensure you get an interview
- Should you send a follow up or thank you letter/email? Your final opportunity to make a lasting impression

This opened ended programme is our flagship offering for senior executives and consists of:- A three hour introductory one to one meeting with a Corbin Career Transition senior consultant to discuss the way forward, objectives, priorities and career aspirations.
- Agree a plan of action with the consultant to develop a career transition programme personalised to the candidate’s needs.
- Unrestricted access to your consultant by email and telephone in between face meetings to ensure the action plan stays on track.

- Psychometric Profiling using reliable instruments such as the OPQ 32n, Competency Profiling using the Leadership Architect, SHL Motivation questionnaire. Guidance on how to approach verbal and numerical tests.
